Sorry, not used to 'introduce yourself' forum stuff. And sorry again in advance since you'll have to deal with quite the wall of text.
Anyway, IGN's Zyrenne (honestly I would've used Sylvie but I got some kind of error prompt, most likely someone else took it).
Started playing around 4th quarter of 2010 (was it? the only thing I'm certain is it's around the time OBT phase started) on BandMaster - PH server; however quit after the conclusion of the Nescafe Soundskool event due to school stuff.
The duration of my stay in-game might be relatively less compared to a lot of veteran players here, but I was playing mostly because:
1. I knew about O2Jam, but I wasn't able to play much back then. I didn't have my own PC during those days.
When I finally had one, O2Jam PH was already gone. This game looked 'similar' in several ways, so I went for it.
2. Customization. I really liked the stuff that I could obtain here, ranging from the wide variety of musical instruments (I liked one of the electric bass guitars the most, I believe I posted a snapshot with it on the THROWBACK thread; I literally bought it off for unlimited use. Result: I didn't have sufficient school allowance for a week.) to the usual avatar looks.
3. Community, hands down. I usually play around early morning 'til around 3-4pm, and there are a lot of people to play / talk with. Sure, there are the occasional 'rude' guys and the awkward ones that either asks for your Facebook account or if your avatar's gender matches with your iRL gender (I got used to it); but most of the people are accommodating. Not all of them are PH people as well, there were a good amount of people from other countries as well, thanks to it not having an IP block.
I'm glad that someone is trying to 'bring back' the game. There are a lot of clear differences (hence why I seemed to compare a lot of stuff, like, 'why is this piano cash only? back then I could buy it using BUX', etc), but at the very least I could play it again.
In terms of the game, I'm more of an 'average' player, like I could probably do well (and survive in SOS mode) on most songs, but you can't ask me to do All Combo on let's say, Silent Jealousy drums. I have really weak wrists, so I can usually play around 5 to 8 songs consecutively (depending on difficulty) and stop for maybe 20 minutes.
Seems like a really awkward intro. Nice playing this game again, and I hope to see you in-game. But please, don't expect me to initiate a conversation. YES, I am THAT SHY.
